Van Horn Repair (VHR) is an FAA certified repair station co-located within Van Horn Aviation (VHA) Tempe, Arizona manufacturing facilities. VHR exclusively specializes in the repair of VHA composite rotor blades for Bell 206B/L and UH-1 Huey helicopters and our tail rotor assembly for the Airbus AS350.

Van Horn Repair, LLC (VHR) was established in January of 2014 as an authorized FAA Repair Station, certificate number V7JR502Y.
Since inception, VHR has exclusively specialized in the repair of Van Horn Aviation (VHA) composite rotor blades for Bell 206B/L and various models of UH-1 helicopters. In 2025, VHR added additional ratings to conduct limited repairs on our Airbus AS350 Tail Rotor Assembly as well as the Bell 206 Tail Rotor Hub and Airbus AS350 Main Rotor Starflex.
Services include:
- Computer-Aided Tap Testing (CATT) Evaluation
- Replacing bearings, bushings and abrasion strips
- Repairing limited damage to composite skin
- Repairing voids in blades
- Rebalancing blades
- Other structural repairs as approved by a DER
The VHR facilities are co-located at the VHA headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, USA.
VHA blades use high-tech composite materials, efficient airfoil designs and advanced construction techniques to deliver more tail rotor authority in a durable corrosion-resistant package. Our blades offer more service life than the OEM blades at a competitive cost. Our goal is to provide value and performance to the operators of various legacy helicopters.
